The crop on which workers will work is onions. Workers must be able to: prepare fields for irrigation by sprinkler or drip delivery system; set up and move irrigation pipes and equipment; perform scheduled irrigation of fields; assist with seeding activities; assist in planting and cultivation activities; weed and hoe crops (weeding will be by hoe, not hand, with a long-handled hoe); hand harvest onions; clip roots and/or tops to specifications; place the harvested product in buckets and transfer product to field bins; move buckets, bins, sacks, and other accompanying items; remove drip tape; assist with other harvesting activities; and perform any and all other tasks and duties under SOC Code 45-2092. Related duties may be assigned. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Highly repetitive motions to reach crops at ground level and place the crops in appropriate containers are required. Being on one’s feet for long periods of time is required. Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry weight up to 50 pounds is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate hand tools, farm equipment, and crops is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required.

Requisitos

Workers must have 30 days verifiable experience performing the job duties under Section A(8)(a). The work schedule under Section A(6) may be subject to change where weather, crops, or business needs demand. Work assignments, crew assignments, and assigned work tasks are at the sole discretion of the employer. For purposes of meeting the guarantee, workers will not be required to work more than the number of hours specified in this job order or on their Sabbath or Federal holidays. Workers must comply with the employers work rules and housing rules, which are set forth in full in this job order. Workers must comply with the employers personnel policies, including but not limited to its policies regarding safety, harassment/discrimination, abusive conduct, and drugs and alcohol. Workers must follow all reasonable and lawful instructions and directives. The employer reserves all management prerogatives not inconsistent with applicable law.

Vivienda

Each unit has cooking and kitchen facilities. Each unit has full bathroom facilities. The housing will be provided at no cost to H-2A workers and those in corresponding employment who are not reasonably able to return to their residence within the same day per 20 CFR 655.122(d)(1).
