Herd livestock to winter pastures or other enclosures. Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain. Spray livestock with disinfectants and insecticides, or dip or bathe animals. Provide medical treatment, such as administering medications and vaccinations, or arrange for veterinarians to provide more extensive treatment. Mark livestock to identify ownership and grade, using brands, tags, paint, or tattoos. Segregate animals according to weight, age, color, and physical condition. Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies. Maintain equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Remove ice formed in water. Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps. Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions. Order food for animals, and arrange for its delivery. Shift animals between winter enclosures to ensure that they have sufficient access to food. Perform duties related to livestock reproduction such as helping with animal births. Monitor calves. Perform snow removal in order to operate feed wagons. Drive to town for cattle supplies on occasion. Confine livestock in stalls.

Requisitos

No minimum education requirement. 3 months of experience required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 70 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion.

Employer provided House; 4 bedrooms; 4 beds; accommodates 4 people. Employer will house, Worker and family.

Transporte

The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and provide reimbursement upon arrival at the farm for all inbound and outbound transportation at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. This may include plane, train, bus, or automobile.
