Job duties

Remove snow, insulate, maintain, repair and remodel existing agricultural buildings. Remove snow using tractors, trucks and skid steer loaders from agricultural building sites. Repair agricultural buildings during the offseason while in less use or when needed to protect valuable equipment or livestock from the cold. Haul agricultural commodities as needed. Place insulating materials on the inside and outside of agricultural buildings to insulate livestock from cold using trucks, ladders, hand and power tools. Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs for 75 yards. Must be able to obtain valid drivers license and work in temperature extremes. 3 months of agricultural building maintenance required.

Housing

House with 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and living room. Reasonable repair cost of damage other than that caused by normal wear and tear will be deducted from the earnings of workers found to have been responsible for damage to housing or furnishings. Deductions will also be made for cleaning when necessary, in filthy conditions or disgusting circumstances.

Transportation

The employer will provide advance transportation for a reasonable (most economical) common carrier or other transportation which conforms to the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) for inbound and outbound transportation (if it is the prevailing practice). If not the prevailing practice, the employer will reimburse the worker for the transportation costs and subsistence to the employer’s worksite when the worker completes 50% of the work period.
