General farm work includes: help repair and maintain farm equipment, shop, fields, levees, farm roads and fences; field preparation, water maintenance, planting and harvesting of rice; driving tractor, equipment and trucks; fertilize, spot spray weeds; assist with loading and unloading of rice trucks; must be able to drive vehicles to various farm locations; operate and maintain rice bins including cleaning up of rice spills, sweeping rice spills/pins, leveling bins. Crawfishing involves manually cutting up of fish bait, bait traps, operate crawfish boat, checking of traps--traps are removed from the pond, crawfish are emptied into sacks, traps are re-baited and put back in to pond, repair crawfish traps as needed, weigh and tag crawfish, load crawfish in truck to deliver to markets; frequent stooping and lifting traps, load and unload trucks, wash and grade crawfish.

Requisitos

Working outside in inclement weather conditions; repetitive movements; must be able to lift 40 pounds. Must have legal authority to work within the United States.

Vivienda

Housing will be clean. Workers will be responsible for maintaining housing in a neat, clean manner. Reasonable repair cost of damage, other than that caused by normal wear and tear, may be charged to the workers found to have been responsible for damage to housing or furnishings.

Transporte

Transportation, and related daily subsistence will be provided by the employer or paid by the employer to the worker for reasonable costs incurred for inbound and outbound travel. Employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to H-2A or U.S. workers, or permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved.
